The Jean Monnet Association was created in 1986. Its primary aim is to keep alive and communicate the memory, work and teachings of Jean Monnet the “inspiration” behind the Schuman Declaration of 9 May 1950. With the financial support of the European Parliament and the European Commission, the Association also carries out training and educational activities on European construction with the aim of promoting a Citizen’s Europe and preserving the memory and legacy of Europe’s Founding Fathers.
